Always have a back up

I love James Blake - great guy, great story. (if you don't know, then read his book) Colbert did a hilarious interview and video. I especially love how he mocks James for beating Roger - asking if he won while Roger was paralyzed. Then James tries to teach Colbert how to play, so he has a backup job when he gets fired.

Chicago Marathon

I watched the Chicago Marathon on Sunday - wow, was it cold! The art for this years race was really unique - lots of texture and movement. Funny enough, the guy that designed this art is from Chicago but now lives in Grand Rapids - Chuck Anderson. He did a great job and so did Andy - way to finish the race!

There were some crazy people in costumes running and many crazy freezing fans. I was not inspired to run a marathon, but maybe one day I'll train for a half marathon.

A Lazy Halloween

This is one of the worst costume ideas I've ever seen - and super lazy! Let me know if you have any good costume ideas this year (esp if its related to tennis)

Art in GR

Probably the coolest thing I've ever seen in Grand Rapids, Michigan: Artprize is an open art contest with works displayed all over GR and online voting for the winner with a grand prize of $250, 000. I was able to walk around and see many of the amazing entries with my family this weekend.

Carry me home

I just got this bag for my birthday (thanks mom!). This is a good company too - their bags have Zero Impact on your computer, the environment and your health. Good quality bag and I love the color!

Famous Love

There was quite a bit of entertainment at this years US Open in New York. These are people dressed as famous tennis players of the past, and posing as statues. They were great! I was fortunate enough to work at the tournament for a few weeks, while also working on some freelance design projects.
