Travel Inspiration - Part 2

One of the best meals of the trip - fresh oysters on Tomales Bay.

Alcatraz movie poster - there were a few others in the Alcatraz store.

Old signage from Alcatraz Island.

A cow made entirely from cork.

El Dorado Kitchen - love the typography, and how they just painted it on the building!

Monkey see, monkey do, monkey drink wine. This was at a cute store in San Fran.

Its the Sign of the Wines

Just got back from my honeymoon in Sonoma. We were so lucky to have beautiful weather, great food and amazing wine. After attending a seminar at the HOW design conference this June, I was inspired to be inspired by vacation photos - type, colors, signs, etc.

So here is one of my favs - directional wood signs for the wineries in Sonoma.

Reuse / Repurpose

Great weekend craft project for all of my husbands rackets. Or I could just order one from Etsy - love this site. What other sports items could you make into a mirror or household decor?

And while we're looking through the frame - Kelly Braman just posted some wedding photos! She is an amazing photographer and we were so happy to work with her. I love our unique and fun tennis wedding pics.

Great Visual = More Impact

This is a great poster and info graphic. They spilled a lot of oil in the 1970's - didn't know that!

Information Graphics

Virtual Water Project

This is a great way to show information in an engaging visual representation. Love the poster and the app!

The poster shows the amount of water consumed in the production of everyday food products.
Based on the study by Hoeckstra et al. in their study Water Footprint of Nations, German designer Timm Kekeritz created the design in 2007.
